Pokre\u0107e ga me\u0161avina teku\u0107eg kiseonika ohla\u0111enog na 182,7 Celzijusova stepena ispod nule i teku\u0107eg vodonika, ohla\u0111enog na 252,7 ispod nule. I delovi motora ohla\u0111eni su na sli\u010dne temperature, to je uzrok nastanka leda na ivicama.<\/p>\n<p>Kori\u0161\u0107enje teku\u0107eg kiseonika i vodonika u raketama trebalo bi znatno da olak\u0161a slanje astronauta na Mesec: vodonik je veoma lagan, a osigurava do 40 odsto bolji u\u010dinak (snagu rakete po kilogramu goriva) u odnosu na druga raketna goriva.
